What is your voice over rate?
The short answer is it depends. It depends on the three things, Project Type: commercial, corporate or explainer video, eLearning module, etc. Length: :30, 2 minutes, 1 hour, etc. Usage: Company website, trade show, paid media, organic social media, etc. For how long will this paid media project be used and what is the audience size? What is your revision policy?
Revisions are changes to the original script after the original recording. Based on the scope of work there may be an additional fee for the additional work. Talent errors are fixed for free How can I pay you?
I accept Credit Card, PayPal, ACH, or Checks. If you have a different way of paying talent I am flexible. Do you have a home recording studio?
Yes. I have a custom designed and built home recording studio that is acoustically treated and sound isolated for the highest quality audio available. How fast can you deliver my files?
Within the hour to as long as 24 hours depending on the complexity of the project. |
How do you deliver my files?
I typically use Dropbox, Google Drive, or Transferwise to deliver files quickly and securely. Are the delivered voice over files edited or processed in any way?
It's completely up to you. I will typically ask before delivering you the final voice over files. Some clients prefer raw unedited voice over files because they are still working with the sound design and want to have more flexibility in their own processing. While others prefer a drag and drop approach into their video or other medium. Raw Deliverable = free of background noise, noise floor at or below -60db, the full script in one file, breaths not removed and recorded at max peak -3db - no processing Drag and Drop Deliverable = All the above from the raw deliverable including but not limited to: EQ, compression, breath removal, hard limiter, deesser, etc. Do you keep backups of your voice over recordings?
Yes. I have 3 different ways that I regularly backup my files in case we need to revisit an audio recording later down the road. What are your hours?
Because this business is fast moving and keeps atypical hours I am flexible in my working hours however, for work-life balance I do conduct most business between 7am-6pm PST. Do you have an AI voice?
No. I do NOT have a synthetic AI voice out in the world so you don't have to worry about my voice being used for anything immoral, unethical, or available for just anyone to use. You are guaranteed 100% authentic human voice overs when you work with me. |
Can you record a custom audition or sample of my script?
Yes. I can record a custom audition or sample at no cost to you. Please provide a script selection and any direction you'd like me to follow. Do you have live-directed session capabilities?
Yes. I can connect via Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, over the phone, or through Source Connect Standard for live directed sessions. I encourage all of my clients to book a live-directed session because it allows us to both get on the same page quickly. This helps in delivering creative direction in the moment so you get exactly what you need during the session. Are you able to go into recording studios? If so, what's the closest one to you?
Yes. I work out of my home recording studio in Junction City, Oregon and can travel to Don Ross Productions in Eugene. I can also travel to Portland, Oregon to the studio of your choice. Do you have your own roster of voice over talent?
Yes. I know that I may not always be the right fit for every project so I do keep a roster of my own of professionally vetted voice over talent where I'm happy to help with the casting process or refer someone. Just ask. |
